Also, on a white background the images seem to lose effect. So, naturally, I had to write an app that uses the flickr API to display them like a real album.

This new app (built off of some of my mobile flickr explore code) allows you to enter any flickr username without authenticating and thumb through the images most recent first. I was thinking about it along the lines of an album that you carry around on your phone. There have been so many times that I have wanted to show someone a photo but did not want to take the time to run it down through flickr's methods. I think this is much easier.

P.S. if your want to bookmark your stream as a favorite on your mobile device, go to the URL and key your username in after that you will be at the first image of your stream. If you like more images per page scroll down and click a value. After you have it the way you like it, bookmark that URL. It will always display your most recent.

URL: me.flickrmuseum.com
<div class="flockcredit" style="text-align: right; Though there is nothing photographically exceptional about this shot, it’s pop-art value is incredible!

I don’t know the artist (alexcateye) but viewing this image sent my imagination reeling:

I imagined a woman who was living a Maslovian nightmare. She whiled away her days scared and depressed wishing for someone to help her. One particularly dreary day she meets Dr. M. Hatter, who claims that he has the answer to all of her woes and offers to help. Dr Hatter offers her two solutions. The first was in the form of a riddle, “Why is a raven like a writing-desk?”. The woman shuffled nervously but could not shake through the mental myopia that plaque her. When Dr. Hatter could see that she had no answer he offered her the other solution, a trip to the land of Pharmacopoeia. He handed her a beautiful pill that was green and white, “If you take the green one you will get better and if you take the white one you will get complacent.” he said. So she took the pill and was instantly transformed into a magical bumble-bee. This magical bee thanked Dr. Hatter and buzzed away. Finding no ills in her small world, the bee whiled away the rest of her days in the land of Pharmacopoeia drinking the nectar from giant green and white Lillys.

Okay, so I am not Lewis Carroll but the fantastic image of alexcateye’s needlework bares the same classic quality.

A day in the life

a day in the life
Originally uploaded by millan p. rible
Millan P.
